Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

WallyMetrics ("WallyMetrics", "we", "us") is a product research dashboard for online sellers. We collect and organize public retail product data and give subscribers tools to research, track, and monitor products. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. We also store preferences you set in the app (for example, your onboarding status and saved filters).

API keys you provide. WallyMetrics lets you store your own Kompy API key so the app can make requests on your behalf. We store these keys to provide the service, we never display them in full after they are saved, and we do not use your personal key for background or shared jobs.

Your research data. Watchlists, scans, monitored items, saved sellers, filters, notes, and similar content you create while using the app.

Payment information. We do not store your payment card details. Subscription payments are processed by Stripe; we receive only your subscription status, plan, billing cycle, and Stripe customer/subscription identifiers.

Usage and device data. We keep product analytics events (for example, "page viewed") and basic server logs to operate, secure, and improve the app. These events do not include the contents of your research data.

3. How we use information

We use your information to:

  • provide the service: run scans, maintain watchlists and monitors, deliver alerts, and sync your data;
  • process subscriptions and prevent fraud, through Stripe;
  • authenticate you and secure your account;
  • send service communications such as verification codes, password resets, alerts you configure, and operational notices;
  • improve reliability and performance of the app.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your research data to advertise to you.

4. Third-party services

  • Kompy — the retail data provider that powers product, pricing, seller, and history data. Requests may be made with your own stored key or our shared keys.
  • Keepa — the Amazon pricing data provider. Amazon pricing lookups are matched by product barcode.
  • Stripe — payment processing. Stripe handles your card details under its own privacy policy.
  • Google — optional sign-in provider.
  • Discord and email — if you configure alert channels, we send notifications to the webhook or addresses you provide.

These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices, and we encourage you to review their policies.

5. Data sharing

We share data only with the providers listed above, to the extent needed to run the service, and when required by law. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect the rights or safety of others, or prevent fraud or abuse.

6. Data retention and deletion

Your research data is retained while your account is active. You can delete individual scans, items, and sellers from within the app at any time. If you want your account and associated personal data deleted entirely, contact us through the Support page and we will delete it within 30 days, except where we must retain records for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes (for example, subscription payment records).

7. Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and platform-managed security features to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the Support page. We will verify your identity before acting on a request.

9. Children

WallyMetrics is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. We will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be announced in the app.
